Like most people today, we lead ever busier lives, often juggling work, children, friends and family.  It can be difficult to find the time to address our problems.  If problems are left unaddressed they can create a 'domino effect' and have a negative effect in other areas of our lives.

When we suffer from stress it can manifest itself both physically and emotionally.  Most patients presenting with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, headaches, anxiety and skin conditions report a worsening of their condition during more stressful periods.

We all need a certain amount of stress in our lives to function at our optimum but if we are continuously subjected to stress it can lead to physical symptoms such as

  • insomnia
  • weight gain or loss

  • IBS
  • loss of sex drive

or emotional symptoms such as

  • anxiety

  • excessive use of alcohol, cigarettes or prescription drugs

  • excessive and unnecessary spending
  • overeating
